Jennifer Hudson's Englewood Home Could Become a Women's Shelter


ENGLEWOOD —The childhood home of Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson could be turned into a shelter for women if Hudson’s sister has her way.

“We still own the home and I would like to turn it into a shelter for women as soon as possible or by my mother’s birthday, which is Nov. 7,” Julia Hudson told Chicago Wednesday at a back-to-school event in which she and her sister gave out free school supplies to students in West Pullman. “At least that is what I would like to see the house used for.”
