CHICAGO, IL — Rev. Michael Pfleger, the fiery pastor of St. Sabina Church, is planning a peace march down Michigan Avenue on New Year’s Eve to honor the survivors and victims of Chicago’s escalating gun violence.
The march is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, in front of the Tribune Tower. Carrying crosses for each of those felled by bullets in 2016, the anti-violence marchers will head north down Michigan Avenue’s Magnificent Mile to Water Tower Place and back again.
